There are some points to remember when selecting a domain name.
Domain name must be connected to the keyword of your website. It will help you to rank higher for the keyword in search engines. For example www.makemoneyideas.in ranks higher in the search engine for the keywords make money and ideas to make money. But remember not to give too much importance to this as this is only a minor requirement.
Select the extension based on your requirements. If you are building a website for world wide audience .com, .net, or .org must be preferred. If you are creating your website for a particular audience like country specific audience go for country specific extensions like .co. in, .in,.co.uk, .asia etc. If your website is based on education go for .edu.
Always register a domain name along with the hosting plan.This will help you save extra money you may be required to spend on transferring the domain.
There are websites that allows you to register a sub domain under their domain and host websites for free of cost. Websites like www.freewebs.com allows you to create a sub domain like www.freewebs.com/makemoneyideasand host them for free. If you are looking to make money with adsense, you must avoid this route because adsense nowadays does not accept free websites as publishers
