My First Gigg at Fiverr was something impressive to say the least. I offered almost everything to the customer. Designing a website along with content for $5 dollar is something I cannot afford to do all the time. The reason for offering a gigg like this is to speed up the case study.The moment I uploaded the Gigg, I was beginning to get some messages from people. Within no time I had my first sales.
I had the early conversation with the buyer and decided about the requirement. I was asked to design a sales page along with content. I went about the Job and completed the Gigg within 24 hours. I delivered the work and received my First positive feedback. The web page I designed is

This Project took me more than 3 hours to write and design. The design as you could see is a basic squeeze page design, but the buyer was impressed and posted a positive feedback for me. The remuneration I received for this Gigg is very low compared to other options that we have. A freelance job at Odesk will give me 25 dollars minimum for this design.( I may have to work little more) But, Fiverr works like that. If you can provide something unique you can generate huge amount of sales. For that you require feedback. For me within a span of 1 week I generated 2 sales and more than 10 inquiries. Most of those queries I avoided because of my prior commitments. From my short experience, I understood the importance of Fiverr completely. Amount of activity that takes place here is amazing. That is the reason behind fiverr clones that are coming up every day. Another important feature I have seen at Fiverr is the Featured gigg by fiverr. If one of your Gigg catches the imagination of Fiverr staff members, they will make your Gigg featured. Featured gigg will bring more sales and exposure to your offers.
This is the recent position of my Gigg. I have completed 2 Giggs and my revenue after the commission by Fiverr is 8 dollars. I am waiting for some more sales before moving to some targeted giggs that will not take a lot of time and energy from myself.I must agree from my experience at Fiverr that the experience here is amazing and addicting. I am visiting the site more and more. In between I ordered more 3 Giggs here. I will be coming up with more information about how to succeed in this huge market place and the alternatives available.
In the meantime, while I was publishing this post of mine, I had my third sales. Again I was asked to create a Sales page. This offer is also worth more than 25 dollars at other freelance websites. But I will do this too. I am looking forward to build my feedback and once I have that, I will be moving to more targeted and unique giggs. Looking forward to hear from you Guys..
Do you have long term plans to work on Fiverr? Is it a branding exercise to help you build your portfolio or maybe get the fiverr buyers to approach you for services directly? I’ve become quite an addicted buyer of fiverr gigs in the last few weeks, the range of services on offer is quite staggering.
I can’t quite decide on that. I have a team which is ready to work on it. I will continue for some more time before deciding whether it is worth my time..
