Build your work from home career by optimizing your website strategy.

We all love to work from home. We love to have the ambiance of our homes while working.  In this fast demanding world, we hardly get any time to be with our loved ones. So the concept of working from the comfort of our home seems to be refreshing and exciting. Failures are most common occurunces here. Most of us begin well only to lose the stream mid way. If you ask me the reason, I would blame our strategies to be honest. In this series of articles I would concentrate on websites  Niche sites.

Let me as always quote from my experience. When I began my work from home stint, I chose Google Adsense as my preferred offer. There are multiple reasons behind me choosing this particular offer. The Name of Google and the credit of getting associalted with the Big G excited me. Getting a pay check from Google was something amazing. I never had to worry because, I will not be scammed by the Google. I began the Hard Job of working on my website. I began reading ebooks and referring websites on my selected Niche. I was looking to provide unique content to my visitors and the whole concept of helping people with loads of knowledge base excited me very well. My website was getting recognized and it reached the top of Google within 1 year. ( It took me 1 year because the keyword I chosen was ultra competitive to say the least) My income began to improve as well. At one point I was making more than 600 dollars per month with just one website.  Here I committed the biggest mistake in my career. Instead of building websites related to my niche and building series of websites, I concentrated on my only website, trying to build it as brand. Initially it was going very well till I received a warning from Adsense that my website was removed from their program because it had some content that is not acceptable to them. This  proved to be the jolt I needed to look at my website profile. If I had concentrated on having more websites in my niche, than just spending all my energy in one website, I would have had many websites sitting at the top comfortably. With my only stable income gone, I had some tough time to build my career once again.

It is here I would suggest you the strategy of diversifying. Putting all our cards in the table does not always make sense. It is very much risky. It is here a clear strategy in needed. When you are targeting a steady work from home career, always give importance to diversifying your income streams. Instead of having a single program you must look at the opportunities that beckons you. There are some alternative genuine work from home options available to you. For example, you can have Google Adsense and affiliate ads together in your website. Affiliate marketing is much broader than adsense and this is where the real money is.
